    450 g ground beef
    50 g grated parmesan cheese
    1 egg
    ½ tbsp. dried basil
    ½ tsp. ground onion
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. Salt
    ½ tsp. ground black pepper
    3 tbsp. olive oil
    400 g canned whole tomatoes
    2 tbsp. fresh parsley, finely chopped
    200 g fresh spinach
    50 g butter
    150 g (325 ml) fresh mozzarella cheese
    salt and pepper


    Put the ground meat, Parmesan cheese, eggs, salt and spices in a bowl and mix well. Assemble the meatballs with the mixture, about 30 grams (1 ounce) each. It is easier if you keep your hands wet while putting meatballs together.
    Heat the olive oil in a large skillet and sauté the meatballs until golden brown on all sides.
    Lower the heat and add the canned tomatoes. Boil over low heat for 15 minutes, stirring every couple of minutes. Season to taste. Add the parsley and stir. You can prepare the dish up to here to freeze it.
    Melt the butter in another pan and fry the spinach for 1-2 minutes, stirring continuously. Season to taste. Add spinach to meatballs. Top with fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into bite-size pieces. Serve and enjoy.
