Tilapia in the United States has become the fifth most consumed fish. Its great health benefits are taking care of consumers who have less mercury than any other including salmon and also contains more protein.

Tilapia with Parmesan cheese recipe

For 4 people

2 pounds of tilapia fillets

1/2 cup parmesan cheese

3 tablespoons margarine

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

2 tablespoons lemon juice

A pinch of basil, black pepper, onion powder and garlic salt

Preheat the oven to gratin the tilapia. Grease the foil (to cover the mold). In a separate bowl mix the Parmesan cheese, margarine, mayonnaise and lemon juice. Leave the combination aside.
Season the fillets to taste with basil, pepper, onion powder and garlic salt. Put them in the mold and bake them for three minutes.

Turn the fillets and bake them three more minutes. Remove them from the oven and cover them with the cheese mixture. Bake again until cheese melts (approximately three to four minutes). Make sure that the fish crumbles and you will know that you are ready to enjoy.
