Today you can prepare this delicious Focaccia with sugar, a traditional sweet bread of Italian cuisine

 Ingredients:

 375 g all-purpose Robin Hood flour (3 cups)
 250 ml of warm milk (1 cup)
 1 tsp  instant dry yeast
 3 tbsp.  of sugar
 1 tsp  vanilla essence
 3 tbsp.  of soft butter or margarine
 3 egg yolks
 1/2 tsp  of salt
 1 tbsp  lemon zest
 Sugar to decorate

 preparation:

 Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and mix with the flour, vanilla essence and lemon zest.  Apart, beat the egg yolks with the sugar until you get a cream and add it to the flour mixture.

Then add the salt and knead well until you get a smooth and homogeneous dough. Finally add the butter (or margarine) per tablespoons in 3 steps, kneading well after each tablespoon, until the dough is soft and elastic.

Make a dough ball and place it in a bowl greased with oil and cover with plastic cooking.  Put it in the oven off with the light on and let it ferment for 2 hours.  

Then, knead to take out the air and prepare a baking sheet smearing it with oil.  Stretch the dough and place it on the tray giving it a round shape.  Cover it and let it stand for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C for 15 minutes.  Then, make small holes in the focaccia surface with greased fingers, sprinkle abundant sugar and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
